ERROR 2006: MySQL Server Has Gone Away
I am having a problem reading a SQL script to recreate a database. I am runing mysql 3.23 on Redhat linux 7.2. The SQL file contains 35 megs worth of data. Everytime i try running it to recreate my database from a backup i get the following error: ERROR 2006: MySQL server has gone away. I beleive that it is failing in the same spot. I have one very large table that has over 1 meg worth of data in a single row. I beleive that is where the SQL is failing. Is there anything I can do to modify the configuration to allow large SQL statements like that to run. I have a table that I created and i am trying to create an index that contains a text field. I am having prblems with the syntax and keep receiving errors whenever I try to create the table. Here is the SQL statement for the table: CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS logInfo ( ID BIGINT UNSIGNED NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, entryDate datetime NOT NULL, ipAddress varchar(20) NOT NULL, siteURL TEXT NOT NULL, /* Indexes */ INDEX idxEntryDate(entryDate, ipAddress), PRIMARY KEY (ID) ); How do i create a key that includes the entryDate, ipAddress and siteURL fields?
