Hi, I have just installed the mySQLGUI linux binary. Upon running it, I receive the error "Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '' (111)". The help file does not address this sort of error.
Can you please interpret this error for me and suggest how I may fix it? I just installed mySQL and have one user account "root" who connects via "localhost". I have tested connecting to the database manually with success. I am not sure why mySQLGUI can't connect.
