Quite frankly, if MySQL gets neglected in the future, I'll switch to PostgreSQL, as simple as that. However, the acquisition of Sun does place Oracle in an interesting market position - "the enterprise Apple" as mentioned in the ZDNet article. Let's see and hope the best.
