LOOKUP

2002-04-17 Thread Simon Tienery

Dear Group,

Could anyone help me please, I want to create an ENUM column in one table
that lists the entries in another table.

For example, the sales table to have a "staff" column that automatically
gives a choice of the names of all staff listed in the staff table.

I have been told that Access has a data type that does this called lookup,
but I only want to use MySQL.

I couldn't locate the answer in the manual and I'd appreciate it if someone
can explain how this can be achieved / worked around.

many thanks Simon T

Error 1067: the process terminated unexpectedly

2002-03-21 Thread Simon Tienery

Can anyone help please!

I am unable to start the service on WIN2K since I installed version
MySQL-3.23.38.

I have tried altering the my.cnf and my.ini files and I have tried running
the service as the administrator user.

But I am getting the same error message above each time.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.
