Hi I'm using RedHat 8.0 and MySQL 3.23.52. I've also downloaded the MySQL Control Center (latest). On the Linux mashine everything works just fine, but when I try to connect to MySQLserver from Win2k using alpha version of MySQL Control Center I get "ERROR 2013: Lost connection to MySQL server during query". This is very odd. I know I have all the settings correct and I've tried different users and pw. I'm using default port (3306) and checked that Linux computer really listens on that port. I've also installed the MySQL O DBC driver. But the exact same error-message accours when I try to connect via the ODBC-driver in ASP from the Win2k computer.
I REALLY would appriciate help regarding this matter.
