jdbc driver

ERROR 1130: Host 'dhcp-70-219' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server
Hi, I'm new to MySQL. I've installed MySQL on bothWin2000 and Solaris 2.8 machines. Everything locally works fine. When I tried to connect from the Win2000 (dhcp-70-219) machine to the Solaris machine I get the following error: "ERROR 1130: Host 'dhcp-70-219' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server" I have added the hostnames and ip addresses to both /etc/hosts files. And can ping each other.
