Dear all,

can someone explain this phenomenon (I connect to mysqld-max-nt in
another DOS box, then close the window without issuing 'quit'; MySQL
4.0.7 with InnoDB tables on Win2K SP2):

mysql> SHOW STATUS LIKE 'Aborted%';
+------------------+-------+
| Variable_name    | Value |
+------------------+-------+
| Aborted_clients  | 1     |
| Aborted_connects | 548   | <---------------
+------------------+-------+
2 rows in set (0.00 sec)

mysql> SHOW STATUS LIKE 'Aborted%';
+------------------+-------+
| Variable_name    | Value |
+------------------+-------+
| Aborted_clients  | 2     |
| Aborted_connects | 551   | <---------------
+------------------+-------+
2 rows in set (0.00 sec)

mysql> SHOW STATUS LIKE 'Aborted%';
+------------------+-------+
| Variable_name    | Value |
+------------------+-------+
| Aborted_clients  | 3     |
| Aborted_connects | 554   | <---------------
+------------------+-------+
2 rows in set (0.01 sec)

Why is Aborted_connects incremented at all? And why is it incremented by
3?

sql,mysql for the filters

Regards,
