InnoDB shared lock with JOINs

2002-12-05 Thread Evgeny Chuykov
Hallo.

I have this query:
  SELECT table1.id
  FROM table1
  LEFT JOIN table2 USING(id)
  WHERE table1.a=1 and table2.b=1

table1 is MyISAM and table2 is InnoDB.
I want a shared mode lock on the table2. Is it possible, or i should
split this query?

I think LOCK IN SHARE MODE will work, if you want to lock the rows in table2
which the join touches.

But better test it with 2 connections.
