Hello!

i'd like to ask...
if any of you are familar with (File Maker Pro, most recent
versions)... how does one go about using MySQL to create a printable
report? e.g., where you select the fields you wanted in the report
and then create a layout and page setup for the report, (then print
it)?

G Thanks again.
G (Mac OS 9 or X)

I use for it Siag office - look to http://siag.nu/
For example look to this screenshot http://siag.nu/siag/mysql.png

2001-08-29 Thread get86

i untarred the siag app (very cool, hope it'll work) and dropped in
my home dir.
then i ran ./configure, make and make install...
i got:

checking host system type... configure: error: can not guess host
type; you must specify one
configure: error: ./configure failed for XawM
[ichi:~/apps/siag-3.4.9] ichi% make
make all-recursive

make[2]: *** No rule to make target `all'. Stop.
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2
[ichi:~/apps/siag-3.4.9] ichi% make install
Making install in XawM
make[1]: Nothing to be done for `install'.
Making install in siod
Making install in docs
make[3]: Nothing to be done for `install-exec-am'.
make install-man1
/bin/sh ../../mkinstalldirs /usr/local/man/man1
mkdir /usr/local/man
mkdir /usr/local/man/man1
make[4]: *** [install-man1] Error 1
make[3]: *** [install-man] Error 2
make[2]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

the readme says:

Usually `configure' can figure that out, but if it prints
a message saying it can not guess the host type, give it the
`--host=TYPE' option. TYPE can either be a short name for the system
type, such as `sun4', or a canonical name with three fields:
  CPU-COMPANY-SYSTEM

dumb question: what do i put for macintosh G4/450 OS X?

TIA

Hello!

G dumb question: what do i put for macintosh G4/450 OS X?

I all case you need 3 things - X Window, gcc, Mysql.
I use Siag on OS/2, MS Windows and all Unixes - so it's
will work with MacOS X.

or can i use the same MySQL i have for/on OS X itself?

thank you.
