Re: mysql vs. MySQL
The real name of the rpm package should be inside the .spec file contained within the rpm file. Best Regards! mysql vs. MySQL
My machines have several mysql RPMs installed as part of a SuSE UL 1.0 base configuration. RPMs are all lower-case of the form 'mysql, mysql-client, mysql-devel, mysql-shared', etc. Upgrade RPMs are available as MySQL, mixed case, no longer all lower-case. Is this a cosmetic issue only, am I able to rename lower-case and rpm -F without a problem? - Dave -- MySQL General Mailing List For list archives: http://lists.mysql.com/mysql To unsubscribe:http://lists.mysql.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
mysql vs. MySQL
My machines have several mysql RPMs installed as part of a SuSE UL 1.0 base configuration. RPMs are all lowercase of the form 'mysql, mysql-client, mysql-devel, mysql-shared', etc. Upgrade RPMs are available as MySQL, mixed case, no longer all lowercase. Is this a cosmetic issue only, am I able to rename lowercase and rpm -F without a problem? - Dave -- MySQL General Mailing List For list archives: http://lists.mysql.com/mysql To unsubscribe:http://lists.mysql.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Mysql vs MySQL max
Hi Probably a stupid question, but which is best to have on ones server, the "old" mysql, or max. I.O.W, if you install MAX and never use innodb or berkeley tables, will it be equivalent to a normal mysql installation wrt performance and stability? I'm asking from an ISP's point of view, if that makes any difference ( obviously if from developer it will depend on the needs of the app..)
