Of course, you could have also used:

$stmt = $db->prepare("show databases");

i am using perl dbi with dbd::mysql. i know that using the dbi function,
$dbh->tables (), will list all the tables in a database. is there a function
that will show all the databases on a server?

thanks,
shon
