I have the WS-48313 with the followingModeline 1920x1080 74.250 1920 2008 2052 2200 1080 1084 1094 1124 interlace +hsync +vsyncI had to add the followingHorizSync 15-75which overrulled the EDID so I had to use
Option UseEdidFreqs FALSEas well.I do have about a 5% overscan as well, but I have changed the mythtv gui to be 1820 x 1000 with an X displacement of 100 and y displacement of 80 to make everything fit

Re: [mythtv-users] Help working out XvMC, de-interlacing, and a few other basics

2006-01-12 Thread CykoDuck
First basic question: How do I know if I'm using XvMC?I've got annVidia 5200 based video card.My readings lead me to believe that this
is not something that is settable in my xorg.conf or vianvidia-settings.Is this something that must be enabled/disabled whenmythfrontend is built?Three pages later in that same menu is the use XvMC
Am I on the right track? If so, is it worth trying to build mythtv
myself to get XvMC?Will it likely lead to improved quality (my mainissues are with fast-moving scenes, like a football game)?I've got apretty powerful box with plenty of CPU, so that's not really amotivation for me.
A related question is: can you still select custom de-interlacing andfilters when you DO have XvMC enabled?Yes

Wow. First I have ever heard of this! Cannot wait to try it out. Seems a considerably easier setup. On 1/8/06, Steve Hodge

. Using it saves youhaving to reconfigure xmame. Just stick a joystickmenurc file in.mythtv/. Mine is attached. Note I've got two joysticks configured inthere and IIRC MythTV doesn't currently support that - it just ignores
the second one.Steve___mythtv-users mailing list

I've looked through the archive for a few hours this evening and haven't found an exact match on my issueI am getting stuttering on 1 channel when I record or livetv a showI am using FC4 with 18.1 and the PCHDTV 3000 card.
All other HD stations are seemingly working fine, but this one
station (fox) is broadcasting Digital shows tonight (not HD) and it
stutters. For grins I quit MythTV and tried just azap with
mplayer and found the problem happended with -ao alsa but not -ao

Any advice on what I should be looking for?Thanks-Nick
