I just feel the need to apologize to my harsh reply. Todd was correct in pointing out why the thread hijack took place. I'm just used to lists where netiquette is enforced. And without steering people in the right direction on the topics of thread hijacking, top posting and descriptive subjects, lists become very noisy for the person looking for info. OK. So here is my constructive contribution. http://linux.sgms-centre.com/misc/netiquette.php Again. Sincere apologies. Must have been a bad day. With a normal LED and IR LED it is the same. Light is on if I reverse the connections. Switching it back it is off. But running irsend does send successful according to /var/log/message, but nothing happens on the LED itself, no flicker or on state even with SEND_START, which should be a permanent send. > ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
[mythtv-users] lirc_serial - All working fine accept IR LED.
Hi guru's. Don't know where else to try. The lirc list looks a little quite. I'm enjoying my myth box so far, but just this one piece of the puzzle is driving me insane. I hope someone can shed some light on this for me. My setup External IR LED on a db9 female connector http://www.irtrans.de/en/shop/cable.php If I reverse the pins on the serial connector I get a light, so this means that there is power. I have a Hauppauge PVR-350. And the remote is working perfectly. So according to my understanding, I should be able to use the config to try and send via the serial IR. The problem I have is, when I try to send nothing happens on the IR LED. Everything else seems to work perfectly. No errors at all. I have no idea how to shoot this trouble any further. Is there anyone here with any ideas of what I can try next. Thanx a mil. The latest XMLTV already supports DSTV listings. There is just a few changes you need to make in the mysql database. I'm setting up a wiki page this weekend on http://wiki.clug.org.za, because there is a few guy on the local list that also need to know how. Have a look over the weekend. [mythtv-users] tv_grab_za not in mythtvsetup
Hi there I used Jarod's guide in setting up my box with a PVR350. Now the xmltv package includes tv_grab_za, which I tested, and I get program listings. The problem is that I cannot select tv_grab_za in mythtvsetup. Any idea on how I can get around this problem? [mythtv-users] Xine choppy video
Hi all I'm rather new to the whole MythTV thing (This past week I installed and played), and love it so far. At the moment I'm only looking in to play, not recording. Music, Video and Photo is working fine. Now playing DVD's is the problem. When I try Xine, I get a lot of frame loss, but the same DVD plays video fine in mplayer. Already checked DMA and lots of Google pages later, still no answer. How come mplayer plays it OK, but it seems like Xine is struggling. I check CPU usage and it is running below 50% ?? My Setup Jarods install on FC3 2.4GHz proc 512 Mb RAM Hauppauge PVR350 running X on the 350's output. Any help will be appreciated. I'm going slightly mad. ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
