Re: [mythtv-users] "Feature Idea - P2P" Bad Idea

2005-07-06 Thread Evan Alter
The only thing I want to add to this is that although actively promoting
stealing of copyrighted material is a terrible terrible idea for MythTV
to become a part of we have to keep our minds open to the legal use.
For example http://www.systm.org is an online TV show that is
distributed over bittorrent. So long as any p2p software is geared
towards allowing people to get that kind of content is fine.

[mythtv-users] Replacement AVerMedia M179 adapter?

2005-02-18 Thread Evan Alter
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a replacement for that
little adapter on the back of the AVerMedia M179 that connects the
coaxial cable to the card. Or possible one that is already attached to
a wire. So I could have a wire that come out of my coaxial wall plate
and right into the AverMedia M179.

Thanks

[mythtv-users] Problem with mythtv-cvs ebuild

2005-01-25 Thread Evan Alter
I know this isn't officially supported but I am having problems with the
current cvs (as of a couple days ago) and my current mythtv-cvs.ebuild
which I got from http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66337 a while
ago and have been updating my self when needed.

But after a couple days of failure I have come across a compiling
problem I can't seem to figure out how to fix.

Since the compile problem is fairly large I posted it to
http://pastebin.ca/4721

>From what I can gather I think it is a problem with the ebuild and not
mythtv cvs that must have come as some sort of change in the last few
days.

Thanks
