[mythtv-users] Fusion DVB-t lite card
Hi all, i have read many different threads on the subject and have come back to the same problem - i cannot get the card to work no matter what i try. Basically dvb-t lite cards are supposed to autodetect since 2.6.9. Not a problem mine does do that, but why doesn't it get detected when i run myttv-setup? As far as i know permissions have been given to adapter0 I have been assisted by many in the past and i got past this problem - but then couldn't watch live tv or record anyhting. I got the tv guide working ok and had no problems setting up the weather or news etc. Hardware specs M/B - ASUS P5P800 (onboard sound and onboard nic) Processor - P4 2.8Ghz RAM - 2 x 256 Dual channel DDR400 ram HDD - 250GB SATA Video Card - ASUS A9200SE o/s - Fedora core 4 with latest updates. Capture Card - Dvico Fusion HDTV DVB-t lite Location - Brisbane Australia (maybe relevant ) Any help or suggestions would be great - i am just about ready to pull the last of my hair out. Re: [mythtv-users] Live TV
Hi Nick/Dewey, My knowledge of software and landguages is quite good, but my knowledge of linux is very limited. I have been checking the forum and have come across various posts on similar things and suspect mine is a combination of a number of possible problems. Where are the log files kept for mythtv frontend and the devices. I do not know how to run a temrinal sesion to record live tv. An example would be great - i am in Brisbane australia Nick you mention dvbscan - how do i do that ?? With my limited knowledge i have determined that there appears to be some sort of issue when the box starts or shuts down saying that i have already loaded a lirc module. Could this be affecting it? In terms of more information - what do you all require - if it is something i need to dump our of a log file, please let me know and i will post it. Have you been able to get output from the DVB-T card using dvbscan etc (i.e. outside of MythTV) to make sure the card is loaded OK? Once it is determined the card is functioning, I'd try entering mythtv-setup and setting up the DVB card, then trying to scan for channels (if you haven't already). If this all works, trying scheduling a recording and seeing if it works. If it does, it may be a problem with your video card's setup and not the DVB card. [mythtv-users] Live TV
Hi All, I must first of all thank all of those who have helped me get my myth system off the ground. My current dillema is probably simple to resolve but i am unable to work out how to do it. Hardware: p4 2.8Ghz processor, 512 DDR ram, Asus P5p800 mainboard, Dvico DVB-T lite card, 250GB SATA HDD,Gigabyte GVN4464TE(NVIDIA MX 440 8x) video card, fedora core 2.6.11-1.35. The above setup works a treat - i can get all other functions apart from the live TV and recording og live TV. Currrent headache is as follows: When trying to watch live TV i get the following message: SIP Cannot Register; proxy, username or password not set With my limited knowledge and help from members in the forum i have managed to give mythtv permissions to everything that i see as relevant yet i am unable to view live TV. Any help would be great. Regards and TIA Justin ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users

[mythtv-users] Dvico DVB-t lite capture card install issues under 2.6.11-1.35_FC3
Hi All, Have searched through the various threads but don't seem to have come across this issue. I am very new at this(Linux and Mythtv) so any help, directions, URL's etc would be greatly appreciated. Problem: I have followed Jarrods instructions exactly as it says. My problem starts when i get to the capture card. I have tried to install a DVB-t lite card using the jump off to Jani's instructions. This looks to be working until i get to loading the DVICO modules for the first time. I get the error message that the file exists and there is no such file or directory. I understand that this may be due to the fact that there is already support in this kernel. Do i need to activate it or something as when i run mythtvsetup and get to the capture card - the heading for dvb cards are there, but it does not see my card. I also found that there is no /dev/dvb/ directory. Why is this ??? Regards Justin ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
