[mythtv-users] tv_grab_au Sydney Foxtel
For some reason my tv_grab_au is not picking up any Foxtel channels. FTA channels seem OK. I know that there has been some discussion about ninemsn doing some obfuscation lately. Has anyone else started having problems with just the Foxtel data? I grabbed the latest from http://www.immir.com/tv_grab_au but Im wondering is I need to redo the config perhaps? Any ideas? [mythtv-users] Tuning Issues
I have tv-out working nicely on my PVR-350. (FC3, Jarods Guide, P4, Intel board etc). My problem is that I dont seem to be able to get the tuner to work. I can create a test_capture.mpg using the command from the guide: cat /dev/video0 /tmp/test_capture.mpg When I look at the file however I just get snow. Same thing with running mplayer on the device. I can run ptune-ui and choose appropriate values (Im in Sydney Australia using PAL) but it does not seem to make any difference. Any ideas on how I can track this one down? What files should I concentrate on and/or info should I post to help narrow down the issue? [mythtv-users] Black and White
Im getting black and white out of the SVideo output on my PVR-350. The composite out is in color but I dont want to use this. The rig is FC3, ATRPMs from Jarods Guide. TV Out via the PVR-350 Is there a setting somewhere that I have set wrong (to composite for example)? If so, where can I find it? [mythtv-users] PVR-350 XMame
Am I correct in thinking that if I am using X out on my PVR-350 that I will be unable to use the Myth MAME integration? If this is the case I could potentially put an old Geforce video card in this box and use that for the Mame. Would it be possible to setup Myth somehow so that it can switch to this card just for MythGame or would I need to mod my setup to always use the separate video card (i.e. for watching videos etc)? [mythtv-users] Amstrad STU200
Im playing around with getting Myth to talk to my Amstrad STU200 cable box (Foxtel in Sydney Australia) and Im wondering if anyone out there has managed to get this rig working? Ive built a receiver as described on Tim McCoys site : http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~tmccoy/index.php?option=contenttask=viewid=11Itemid=26 but it does not seem to register (although other remotes do). This gives me the horrible thought that the IR protocols this device uses may not be compatible with the receiver / lirc etc. If there is anyone with experience with this sort of rig Id really appreciate a hand. [mythtv-users] Aussie Foxtel
Has anyone in Australia been able to come up with a working solution for controlling a Foxtel receiver here in Australia yet? Im currently building up a new box based on FC3 with Jarods guide and a 350 and would be interested in hearing from anyone who has managed to get their MythTV doing channel changing on their cable boxes. The unit in question in an Amstrad STU 200. Have looked at various circuits for use with lirc but would be interested in experiences that you guys have had. RE: [mythtv-users] Aussie Foxtel
Hi nick, Which of the transmitter circuits did you go for? The port I have available to use is on the motherboard so Im leaning towards the simple amplified design to be safe. I figure I could pull 5 volts off a spare connector on the PCs powersupply to run it. Did you also build up a receiver from the lirc site to do your capture? Marty I don't have foxtel, but I am using an Optus cable box with MythTV. I had to make an IR transmitter (from http://www.lirc.org/transmitters.html), then I captured the IR codes from the remote control (using a separate IR receiver) and configured lirc to send them down through the transmitter. I'd imagine you could do something like that with the foxtel box. Nick ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
