RE: [mythtv-users] Rename MythMusic Files
Thanks! That worked. I still had to do the "UPDATE..." in mysql to change the names that are displayed, but that wasn't too big of a deal... I'll watch Opencddb a little closer in the future ;-) Mark -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Donavan Stanley Sent: Tuesday, December 14, 2004 8:23 AM To: Discussion about mythtv Subject: Re: [mythtv-users] Rename MythMusic Files On Mon, 13 Dec 2004 19:25:19 -0700, Poobah <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > If I do a "mv" to rename the directory, I'll have to do some form of a > "UPDATE ...SET filename='Is There Anybody Out There (cd 1)' WHERE filename > like 'The Wall Live *' " within mysql. No just select "scan for new music" from the music menu after you've moved the files. ___ mythtv-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
[mythtv-users] Rename MythMusic Files
Is there a front-end quick way to rename files and directories of imported CD’s? FreeDB.org recognized 2 discs in a set with different titles. i.e.: Is There Anybody Out There (cd 1) The Wall Live - Is There Anybody Out There [Disc 2] If I do a “mv” to rename the directory, I’ll have to do some form of a “UPDATE …SET filename=’Is There Anybody Out There (cd 1)’ WHERE filename like ‘The Wall Live *’ “ within mysql. I could probably bang a shell script together to do this if I need to. Just wondering if there is a more WAF friendly way of doing it. RE: [mythtv-users] Frontend only - no videos?
Yes, you have to mount the directories. Mythmusic and mythvideo don't stream using the myth protocol. :-( Mark Hanson -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of PAUL WILLIAMSON Sent: Saturday, December 04, 2004 12:45 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [mythtv-users] Frontend only - no videos? I've almost got a remote frontend only machine working. I can watch live tv and watch recorded programs. I am unable to watch videos, can't listen to music nor can I see pictures. The documentation is somewhat sparse on how to accomplish this. I have a frontend running on the same machine as the backend, so that's no problem - it works. Do I need to nfsmount the video, music and picture directory on the frontend? I thought the myth protocol would take care of that. I have tried putting in the same path to those directories in the remote frontend as is in the "local" frontend and still can't see them. I can nfsmount the directories and get access to them that way, but is that the right way to do this?
