[mythtv-users] Problems loading file through mythfilldatabase
Hi, currently running a debian sarge mythtv 0.17 set up. (upgraded from 0.16) Due to problems with the standard grabber, I decided to start grabbing my own tv guide files in XML format, using multiple sources. (BBC for BBC programs, vrt for the belgian stations etc. something to run on machine in the DMZ.. Enough ideas, but so very little time. ;-) First step is to load an existing xml file into the database using a file grabbed from the tv_grab_nl_wolf site Unfortunately, this does not work.. mythfilldatabase --file 1 -1 tv-20050501.xml (run as a regular user.) ### bypassing grabbers, reading directly from file 2005-04-30 19:36:48.457 mythfilldatabase: Listings Download Started Updating icons for sourceid: 1 removing conflicting program: zdf.de Protestantse kerkdienst 200505010930 +0200-200505011015 +0200 conflicted with : zdf.de Anders Fernsehn 3sat 200505010930 +0200-200505011015 +0200 Updated programs: 0 Unchanged programs: 1238 Adjusting program database end times... 0 replacements made. 2005-04-30 19:36:50.977 mythfilldatabase: Listings Download Finished Marking repeats...found 0 Unmarking repeats from grabber that fall within our new episode window...found 02005-04-30 19:36:51.146 Connecting to backend server: 127.0.0.1:6543 (try 1 of 5) 2005-04-30 19:36:51.167 Using protocol version 14 The mythbackend.log for this time shows: 2005-04-30 19:36:51.208 Reschedule requested for id -1. 2005-04-30 19:36:51.209 unknown socket 2005-04-30 19:36:51.220 Scheduled 3 items in 0.0 = 0.00 match + 0.01 place My feeling is that something is seriously misconfigured, question is what.. Hi, short description of problem - nuvexport (version 0.2) stopped producing correct divx videos after an upgrade of ffmpeg yesterday Long version: After upgrading ffmpeg yesterday, nuvexport no longer produces video in divx video output. [mythtv-users] PVR-350 : extending infra-red remote cable
Hi, I've got a working install, on a spare desktop system. This system is located behind a wall with respect to the TV. The next experiment is to connect the TV-out. Got plenty of cable, and it worked before. The problem: The cable for the IR will never reach the tv, and getting up to point the remote around the wall won't work. How can I extend the IR cable ? Does this work at your site ? (i.e. is something screwy here ?) Had the tuning error too, when I first set up my box.. that was easily fixed. However.. I also had a problem with random channels not having sound, when zapping. I *think* I fixed it by adding /usr/local/bin/ivtvctl -v input=2,output=1 to my ivtv setup script. looks like an ivtv problem to me. I'm currently using ivtv-0.2.0-rc3c, on a PVR350, Rev K 257 according to the sticker. Anybody else with the same problem ? [mythtv-users] Sound missing on some channels
Hi, just bought a PVR 350, and installed it.. not without sweat.. Thanks to the posts on this list I got it working.. well, almost: For some channels, I don't have sound. Setup: kernel 2.6.9, unpatched bttv-0.9.15 ivtv-0.2.0-rc3c Mythv 0.16 Hauppage PVR350-rev K257, tuner 38 Local cable company is UPC/Netherlands. Some channels don't have sound, others do. Some times switching to a channel with sound and then back will fix the problem, until the next time I switch channels. mplayer -v - ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
[mythtv-users] Mythtv + DXR3 ?
Hi, I managed to get an experimental mythtv box set up on my desktop system (experimental in that I'm planning something standalone in the near future). This works fine, but watching tv is often a problem, since the screen often stops for a few seconds, especially if there is some processing going on in the background. The hardware: AMD Athlon 1800 +, Pinnacle PCTV pro nvidia Gforce 4mx video card, using nvidia's latest drivers. While rummaging through the odds and bit box, I found a DXR3 card. As I understand it, this is a hardware MPEG decoder. Would it be worth the effort to install this card into my current desktop system to fix the live tv playback problem ? (Or should I just bite the bullet, and get that PVR 350 for christmas ?;-) TimT ___ mythtv-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
