Re: [mythtv-users] 0.18's available
Yeah me neither until yesterday! Apparantly it tells the XvMC Wrapper library which lib to open, defaults to NVIDIA_dynamic.so or something, rather than viaXvMC.so. I had recently done an re-install of the Unichrome bits, using some gentoo ebuilds, I suspect they nobbled the file. ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users

I don't even have that file and everything's always worked fine ... weird. On Apr 18, 2005, at 12:29 AM, Stutty wrote: Yeah me neither until yesterday! Re: [mythtv-users] 0.18's available
Can someone confirm that they have this working on an EPIA using XvMC VLD video out? Having some problems, not sure they are to do with a recent upgrade of libXvMCW (which was working against 0.17+abit) or my jump to 0.18. Anyone know if this is available on ATRpms yet? Just curious, as I may try installing this version this weekend on my FC3 Box. According to atrpms.net, it is still .17. I'm sure it'll be updated soon. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jon Kunze Sent: Friday, April 15, 2005 12:53 PM To: Discussion about mythtv Subject: Re: [mythtv-users] 0.18's available Anyone know if this is available on ATRpms yet? Mythtv releases have a flurry of last-minute check-ins, many of which are fixes but not, as in many other projects, all of them. The releases are more a checkpoint and a goal -- get in your patches now! It might very well be a prudent policy to have as many people run the cvs or rpm-from-cvs versions at this point, and then build the stable rpm a week later after all those first-line folks have tried it. I personally planned to watch for a few days to see if any big bugs were discovered. It isn't meant as a slam to any of the developers... Just seems to happen alot with software releases in general. I think the CVS RPMs being released right-away, and then the actual release RPMs a day or two later might not be a bad idea. In some ways it would be like issuing release candidates. That is why there are various package categories at ATRrpms... the package could be submitted as bleeding/testing if the packager feels it may not be ready for a general (stable) release.
