One possibility is that in mythtv-setup, you may not have set up the "Input connections". You can have a set of channels and grab TV listings but if there are no inputs for those channels, nothing would be scheduled. You can look in the Recording Priorities page to see the rules that have been created. -- bjm ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
[mythtv-users] Can't schedule recordings
I am new to mythtv. I have the latest mythtv version running on FC4 with almost everything working except I am not able to get my recording schedule to save. It lets me go through the guide and pick the show and save settings, but when I goto upcoming recordings, it says I have nothing scheduled to record. Doug Do you Yahoo!? Re: [mythtv-users] Can't schedule recordings after upgrade
After restarting the backend with verbosity, I found this message: Starting up as the master server. Error getting inputs for the capturecard. Perhaps you have forgotten to bind video sources to your card's inputs? I re-ren mythsetup from the command line & there was no source associated with the tuner. I thought being able to watch live TV would have ruled out this sort of thing, but I set it up and it works again. Shows I had scheduled before the update don't show up in the "upcoming recordings" screen. It says "You haven't scheduled any programs..." When I schedule a recording from the guide, after I hit "save these settings" the guide shows "Not Recording". If I go back to the recording screen, it shows up as "Do not record this program" Everything else seems to work fine, though the settings in setup went back to default with the upgrade. I had to re-setup some paths & the theme. Recordings that were already complete are still there and watchable. When I try to schedule a recording, the backend log shows: 2004-12-07 21:20:10 Found changes in the todo list. 2004-12-07 21:20:11 Scheduled 0 items in 1.3932 seconds The frontend log doesn't show anything. I poked around the database and I see entries for lots of shows that I had setup before the upgrade. I ram myisamchk on the database files and didn't find any problems. Any idea what the problem could be or where else to look? Maybe if you run the backend with --verbose all or some higher verbose setting related to scheduling you might get more information?
