You *may* get the same problem as I had when receiving teletext.
 Take a look at http://mythtv.org/pipermail/mythtv-dev/2005-May/035926.html

For a minute I thought that had solved the problem but I'm afraid not. The
following precedes the segfault if it helps any in lieu of a backtrace.

[mpegts @ 0x2b6729a0]Parser not found for Codec Id: 196608 !
Created new page id=2
Page::parseObjectDataSegment: not all data was consumed consumed=4086,
len=4087
Segmentation fault

I'm guessing their is a difference between the UK and elsewhere which is
causing the problems.

 (also in the UK)

Just to let you know : I've just tried this and it looks to be working
fine. I'm getting a few not all data was consumed warning messages
from the frontend, other than that it's fine.

Hmmm. Obviously just my system then. I will try the patch on my other box to
be sure.

Two things come to mind - I'm running 18.1-fixes cvs at the moment and also a
64 bit compile. Otherwise does the patch make use of any myth dependencies
which might be causing problems on this machine?

I _will_ sort out a backtrace when I'm not recording or wanting to watch
something.

I applied it to the 18.1-fixes cvs branch as well. So it might be your
64 bit ness (?) AFAIK there shouldn't be any other issues, but then
I'm not best placed to say.
(I should also say that this was with dvb-t)

Hi,

I created a new release of Juha Kuikka's subtitles patch:

http://www.cs.tut.fi/~pjaaskel/mythtv-dvb_subtitles/

Please give it a try and report any problems you might have, but before you do,
read the support and to do sections of the above www-pages.

Seg faults here. It dies before any subtitles are displayed - in the case of
most live TV and recordings before any picture is displayed.

I *think* it only does so when subtitles are there though - it was fine when I
tuned in during an ad break but crashed when the program started.

I will get a backtrace tomorrow, it's too late to recompile tonight.
