regarding Q3.. I think projectM would be better to implement:

milkdrop is win32 only as it uses directx.. but projectM is opengl based
and it's only requirement is a stable sdl library.

Ah ok, I didnt realise that about milkdrop, my mistake. As for projectM,
 I am no programmer unfortunately..

 cheers anyway

Anyone got any input on the first 2 questions?

1) No
2) Not without modifying the code so no.

might be worth looking into further as it's all been moved to a library
now so should be relatively easy (for a programmer) to implement.

2004-12-05 Thread Richard and Monica Bland
BTW, I've just fixed my MythMusic issue by removing aalib from my Gentoo
USE flags and recompiling libsdl.

Cheers,

 All,

I've recently rebuilt my mythtv frontend and noticed certain

I'm guessing it's got something to do with SDL support? When building
MythMusic, a message claims 'SDL support will be included'. I have
libsdl and opengl (Gears works OK) installed and an ldd on
libmythmusic.so confirms they are both linked in, but no visualisations!
Are there any dependencies I've obviously missed?

 MythMusic : 0.16 tarball
 Xfree : 4.3.0
 Kernel: Linux Pro 2.4.26-xbox
 Distro: Gentoo

 Any ideas?

 Cheers
