Another useful link would be to systm.org. Episode 3 (latest) dealt with making your own AV cables, so there may be some snippets of info you could glean from that. I'd recommend going optical from your PC to receiver. Your receiver manual will likely give you the suitable electronic specs of speakers which can be attached. I'm moving into a new house, and now I'll finally be able to configure my things the way I want and wire the home for sound and video. However, I'm NOT an audiophile by any stretch. Can anyone point me toward any guides to figure out how speakers work with ampls (as in what you can use with what), as well as what wiring to plan on. Basically, home theater for dummies?
