I recently changed to dvb-card and now I have problem finding the mpeg 4 compliant mplayer.dll for xbmc
any idea where to find it ? On 11/30/05, Phill Edwards [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:

Casey,

Thanks for the info. Regarding the XBMC builds, I noticed
on xbins that there was a recent build that was ~14Mb and a slightly
older build that was ~43Mb. What's up with that?!? I didn't
see any difference in the release notes but at 3 times the size, there
must be a difference?!?

This guide (http://mahune.org/archive/2005/05/07/mythtv-and-xbox/) worked for me.Ubuntu dapper (worked on brezzytoo), mythtv 18.1.If your laptop works but you're having trouble with
xbmcmythtv then I'd suggest the mythpretty.sh from .16, mythweb and samba. That's my config and it rocks. If it's requested I'LL post my (slightly) modifiedversion and point out what was changed and why.

not supported in either mplayer.dll so raw bt878recordings won't work at all.As for the original question about where to get XBMCyes there is a secret handshake but it's not very wellhidden. The easy answer is to google xbmc t3ch; he
builds about once a week so get something recent. Then you'll just ftp it in, nautilus and windows don'twork well for that so use some kind of ftp client. Most of the xbox ftp servers support a limited number
of connections and when you drop a directory in therethe file browser trys to open a bunch of concurrentconnections and then fails when the xbox reports toomany users.

Some builds have extra scripts, themes, etc. included.

I've only had consistant good luck with T3CH's builds, they are barebone
builds with limited addons, the script downloader and a couple other changes.
I recommend using his builds. He doesn't do as many as some of the other
releases, but they are always solid builds.
