I am experiencing the same problem. If I run nxtvepg along with mythbackend, then as soon as mythbackend starts to record, it takes up ALL of the cpu power. If I disable nxtvepg while running mythbackend, I can immediately see the cpu consumtion drop to normal levels. e.g. 3-5% when recording in low quality mode. With nxtvepg running it goes to maximum all the time, regardless of high quality or low quality settings.
Any idea what exactly is causing this and how to fix it?
