keep in mind that if you need to use any of the inputs in the front (SPDIF, PCMCIA, etc), the front door is difficult if not impossible to open when the pundit is lying flat on a surface. You might want to hang it over a ledge if you need to open the door. The other consideration, if you are using a hot processor, is that the ventilation may not be as good (not that the ventilation is all that good to begin with). There are holes on the "bottom" of the pundit (when standing upright) that are meant to draw cold air from outside, which then gets sucked upwards through the case by the CPU and PSU fans. If you are using a 7200 RPM hard drive, this could also get really hot (it's fairly warm when the pundit-r is upright), as it sits flush against what would be the bottom of the case if you laid it flat. - emory On 4/23/05, Xiaotian Sun <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On 4/23/05, Niels den Otter <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Xiaotian, > > > > On Friday, 22 April 2005, Xiaotian Sun wrote: > > > This question may sound stupid. [mythtv-users] lay down pundit-r?
Hi, This question may sound stupid. But I just want to make sure that I can lay down Pundit-R. From the picture and the specs, it is supposed to be stand up. Will there be any bad consequences if I lay it down flat? Are you Pundit owners doing this? Thanks, Xiaotian ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
