[mythtv-users] mythfrontend AvFormat Decoder: Could not find decoder for codec (4), ignoring.

2005-02-06 Thread Tim Lapawa
Hello everyone,
my mythfrondent complains about a missing decoder when starting liveTV.
I'am using a DVB-S card on a VIA EPIA-M Motherboard. MythTv is compiled
with activated USING_XVMC_VLD.
When I switch to LiveTV the screen turns from black to blue and
the mythfrontend prints these messages onto the console:

 Greetings

The could not find decoder message is shown when the mpeg stream encounters
an audio codec it doesn't know how to decode. I don't think this is the
reason you are getting the audio error, since there appears to be other audio
streams for myth to use (type 3). Are you using AC3 passthrough? Try pressing
the '+' key and let me know how many audio tracks it cycles through.

Where are you located?

Cheers,
Mark Anderson
