Says that it's been fixed in SVN and that Chris (xris) committed the fix
on May 15, 2005. That means you can go to the MythWeb revision log at

 http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/log/trunk/mythplugins/mythweb

I know about and can go to http://svn.mythtv.org/ but from there how do you
get to the log lists? Is it under Browse Source?

 and find

 05/15/05 17:36:24 @6407[6407] xris hopefully
fix things so that australian NEVER shows up automatically.

which links you to changeset 6407

 http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/changeset/6407

Which shows the exact changes you need to make.

Now that you know how to fish... ;)

Please give some more fishing tips...

Well, we know it's MythWeb and we want changes specific to that, so
click on Browse Source ( http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/browser ), then on
trunk, mythplugins, and mythweb, then--since we don't know for
sure which file, we'll check all revisions to MythWeb--Revision Log
(underneath Search on the nav bar). From there, I simply used the
browser's Find In Page to find Australian (in FF, I used /aus).

[mythtv-users] mythweb on PDA says Empty beers ?

2005-10-11 Thread chris
I haven't started digging into the PHP (nor have I been drinking,
although this might drive me to start :-P). For some reason, when I use
my PDA running the Pocket PC version of Internet Explorer and connect to
the mythweb/status.php page, the text navigation bar has replaced
Scheduled Recordings and Recorded Programs with Beerduled beers
and Empty Beers. I can only assume the mythweb team left some cruft
behind from the debugging phase or something and it only shows on this
platform. Unfortunately, the mythweb content pretty much kills the PDA
as IE tries to handle all the JavaScript, etc.

Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.

Hahaha, being a pom-cum-aussie, I remember when I first moved out here
the joke was that whenever you asked someone how long something took
it was always measured in beers.

I.e

Q: Crikey, 10 acres, how long does it take to mow this lawn?
A: Aww, about 2 six-packs.

Q: How long does it take for you to drive to work in the morning?
A: Just a couple of stubbies.

Good call whoever, created that translation.

Now, how about we swap some other words, that would be pretty cool ;)

Well, I did manage to find the Australian translation package for
mythweb so I knew that my system wasn't hacked, but now that leaves me
wondering what to *do* about it. The PocketIE that comes on the PDA
doesn't allow me to change things like UserAgent, and the language is
already set to English. Is it safe to simply delete all the
translation packs from the mythweb directory?

Just remove the australian stuff from includes/translate.php

(this is all fixed in svn, btw)
