Re: [mythtv-users] remote control options

As they said above... using Mythweb config as a guide of what keys do
what, then simply edit your config file. The "S" key will bring up
the guide directly.

Re: [mythtv-users] remote control options

2005-02-06 Thread Andy Long
Quite simple. In your ~/.myhttv/lircrc file, look for whatever your
guide button is. Change it from what it is now (probably "config=0")
to "config=S" (without the quotes). That'll bring up the guide.

Have a look at the keys.txt file which describes which keys do what
and then map that to a button on your remote. The file can be also
found online at
http://knoppmythwiki.homelinux.org/index.php?page=HowToUseMyth

Some of the things are possible (such as EPG page up/down), others may
require you to define a jump point. I haven't done this, but I think
you have to have MythWeb running. Search the archives for more info on
jump points.

[mythtv-users] remote control options

2005-02-06 Thread MythTV

First let me say I did search the list archives but didn't find answers to
all my questions. So here they are.

I'm using v0.16

Is their a way to define my Radio Shack 8-in1 remote GUIDE button to
actually open up the guide? Right now it opens the menu and then I have to
use select to open the guide. Maybe its just a problem with the programming
on my remote. I used Jarud's remote howto to setup things.

Is their a way to page up or down in the program guide, instead of going up
or down item by item?

When watching a recorded show is their a way to skip to the beginning or end
of the video?

Thanks for any help with these last little issues with my myth box.
