RE: [mythtv-users] RE: PVR-350 and ivtv - No sound
Oh I really wanted that to be my problem, unfortunately I got: [EMAIL PROTECTED] vlc]# find /lib/modules/ -iname msp3400.ko /lib/modules/2.6.10-1.737_FC3/kernel/drivers/media/video/msp3400.ko /lib/modules/2.6.9-1.667/kernel/drivers/media/video/msp3400.ko /lib/modules/2.6.9-1.724_FC3/kernel/drivers/media/video/msp3400.ko I use 724. Thanks anyway. -r From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Marc Tousignant Sent: Wednesday, February 09, 2005 8:34 AM To: mythtv-users@mythtv.org Subject: [mythtv-users] RE: PVR-350 and ivtv - No sound Try running this find /lib/modules/ -iname msp3400.ko If you have more than one msp3400.ko per kernel folder that is your problem. One is the kernels and the other is from ivtv.. When loading the kernel one is picked over the ivtv one and thus no sound. The ivtv one on my system is located in /lib/modules/2.6.9/extra/ Delete/rename the other one and you should get your sound. I forgot about this once when I recompiled my kernel and freaked. Lol Only other thing I can think of is you didnt unmute your sound. ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users

The IVTV msp3400.ko is located in /lib/modules/kernelversion/extra/ but then I build my own and dont use RPMs All indications point to you using the kernel version of msp3400 which does not work properly. I also just read over your dmesg output. I do not see msp3400 being loaded.. My dmesg on boot. Ignore any line about cx88 thats my hd-3000, for which the driver is installed but I have no antenna yet lol. ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
