Using 'rpm -q lirc' will just let you know if the package called 'lirc' is installed (no wildcards). RE: [mythtv-users] Weird stuff
Sorry, PVR 350 or course. MWR From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Marty Ravell Sent: Saturday, 10 September 2005 9:52 PM To: 'Discussion about mythtv' Subject: [mythtv-users] Weird stuff This issue may be a little off topic and is probably owing to my inexperience with Linux but I thought someone here might be able to help. I’m mucking around with lirc on my working system in order to get a transmitter running to change channels on my Foxtel STB. The strange thing is that when I do the following commend: $ rpm –qa lirc* Instead of getting any output I just get another $ prompt. Now I know that lirc is installed on this machine since it is currently running and receiving fine through the PVR-250’s ir receiver. Any idea as to why rpm does not seem to work?
