I did the usual depmod -a and then probed for those devices and they were found. At least it did not give any errors. However when I try to set up the capture card (pvr-250) there are still no audio devices shown. The card will capture video just fine in myth and works perfectly with "mplayer /dev/video0" Any other suggestions? I dont know if it matters but I am also having problems loading ivtv at boot time. Red means recording enabled. Green means playback enabled. So you need
'Capture' enabled and 'Line in' too. Maybe you have a card with other
connections than mine, but go and try. If you use oss, this should be enough,

No there is no sound in MythTV at all recorded shows or live tv. There simply is no sound in myth but can play sound out of myth just fine.
