Performance? Throughput? Useage?

I just bought a WRTP54G and will make an attempt at writing a check on the
voice ports/services.

There touches upon a future project of mine. I am planning on very
shortly installing VOIP adapters on my home network and want to go with
Vonage for my telephone service. You betcha I'll be wanting to look
into how to monitor the VOIP adapters.

2005-12-30 Thread Ivan Fetch

Hi Thomas,

   Thanks for your reply.

I don't believe the -X option will work, because the CD partitions are
UFS, as are the disk partitions we want to monitor. The -x option is only
a workaround if we want to specify the most frequently used CDs in
ourcheck command.

Thanks - Ivan.

Basically, CDs mounted under solaris contain the name of the CD in the
mount

check_disk to exclude all potentual CD mounts.

   For example:
/vol/dev/dsk/c0t6d0/sol_8_204_sparc/s2

/cdrom/sol_8_204_sparc/s2

Is anyone else dealing with the same issue?

Although I have not seen anything on an admin page but perhaps there is a
way to access that info via snmp. These firmware images are based on GPL so
perhaps there is a way to do it via the command line. Hmmm.

There touches upon a future project of mine. I am planning on very
shortly installing VOIP adapters on my home network and want to go with
Vonage for my telephone service. You betcha I'll be wanting to look
into how to monitor the VOIP adapters.

"check_nagios" ist not designed for remote checking,
it´s a local check. use nrpe or ssh-checking for remote execution of the
plugin.

Is there a special port required to be open for Check_nagios to be run
remotely?  I have an external nagios box that I want to monitor my
internal nagios box with.  Do I need to open any specific ports?

  Thanks

Re: [Nagios-users] Strange issue -- all hosts down

2005-12-30 Thread Zac
A couple of things to check, did you upgrade your plugins
recently?  Or changed permisions on check_icmp?  Have you
tried pinging your hosts on the command line of your nagios system to
ensure someone didn't put a firewall in front of you?  Are you
running Service checks on these hosts?  Are they reporting any
problems?  Could you also reply with the output of nagios -v
nagios.cfg.

There touches upon a future project of mine. I am planning on very
shortly installing VOIP adapters on my home network and want to go with
Vonage for my telephone service. You betcha I'll be wanting to look
into how to monitor the VOIP adapters.

What else would you like to check for?

I just bought a WRTP54G and will make an attempt at writing a check on the
voice ports/services.

Hi folks,

I recently purchased and installed a WRT54G for my home network.
Anybody out there write any checks for it beyond the basic ping and HTTP
tests?

[Nagios-users] Strange issue -- all hosts down

2005-12-30 Thread CC Yuen
Dear list,

I found my Nagios 2.0b4 cannot detect all the hosts suddenly. The screen shown
all hosts "DOWN" and cannot be resume. I have checked all the cfg files and
tested
all the cfg files, I am ensure the config has no problem.

Anyone know what's happen? I really have no idea..

Thanks a lot
