Hi Thomas, Thanks for your reply. I don't believe the -X option will work, because the CD partitions are UFS, as are the disk partitions we want to monitor. [Nagios-users] check disk and UFS cdroms
Hello, I've discovered this post from 2004, but have yet to find a solution. Does anyone else have a way of dealing with this?: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.network.nagios.plugins.devel/2984 Basically, CDs mounted under solaris contain the name of the CD in the mount point and device name, so there is no way to use the -x or -X options to check_disk to exclude all potentual CD mounts. For example: /vol/dev/dsk/c0t6d0/sol_8_204_sparc/s2 114 4 100 4% /cdrom/sol_8_204_sparc/s2 Is anyone else dealing with the same issue? Is there a special port required to be open for Check_nagios to be run remotely? I have an external nagios box that I want to monitor my internal nagios box with. Do I need to open any specific ports? Thanks

A couple of things to check, did you upgrade your plugins recently? Or changed permisions on check_icmp? Have you tried pinging your hosts on the command line of your nagios system to ensure someone didn't put a firewall in front of you? Are you running Service checks on these hosts? Are they reporting any problems? Dear list, I found my Nagios 2.0b4 cannot detect all the hosts suddenly. The screen shown all hosts "DOWN" and cannot be resume.
