I have a scenario like this: Currently we are monitoring devices and send notification as an email message.
I understand that you can send text messages to cell phone by sending an email such as (phone number)@vtext.com. If the main internet connection is down, we want to be able to send the message via a modem connection. I guess at this point, the modem needs to dial up to some sort of sms gateway and send out the string of text. Are there anything like this? Does any cell phone provider (eg: tmobile, verizon...) has this support.
