[Nagios-users] Nagios Green/gray display
Hello, I managed to get Nagios up and running with a few parents/children status checks. The odd thing I can't figure out is sometimes (often) the Display goes from green to gray. Normally it should show green for up and red for down, but seems the gray appears for no reason, even though the remote systems are on line. Any ideas what I'm missing or what needs to be set to prevent the screen from going gray? [Nagios-users] Nagios SNMP Plugin
Anyone out there have any examples of using Nagios SNMP plugin to perform simple queries for Cisco Routers and Linux boxes? I'm thinking of basic queries such as uptime, cpu, storage, etc.. I was thinking of using the check_snmp cmd, but syntax is a bit confusing...if you know of a better way that would be helpful too. [Nagios-users] Nagios Queries
Hello, I'm currently running Nagios 3.0 on CentOS and was curious if anyone can tell me (in Service Detail) how (without plugins) that Nagios is able to query remote Linux boxes and gather information such as Current Load, Root Partition, Swap Usage, Total Processes, etc... I do not recall doing anything special that would allow this info to be returned...is it possible that the remote Linux box has a service that Nagios tries to connect? Basically Nagios was setup to just monitor, which I figured it would only be successful with pings, however it's obviously gathering much more info. Any help would be great...also if there is a better way to gather data, that would be helpful too. thanks in Advance! -- There's no place like $HOME. -- ___ Nagios-users mailing list Nagios-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/nagios-users ::: Please include Nagios version, plugin version (-v) and OS when reporting any issue. ::: Messages without supporting info will risk being sent to /dev/null
