[Nagios-users] Nagios - Status Map

2008-11-07 Thread Holikar, Sachin (ext)
Hi All,

We have installed Nagios 3 version recently. It seems everythign working
ok execpt few things. Like the Zoom in and Zoom out option in Status Map
does not seem to work ever. Is ther any way with which
we can remove that option from Nagios Gui itself.
Kindly suggest.

Re: [Nagios-users] Nagios Status Map

2008-08-15 Thread Tom Ammon
I have used Nagvis extensively in our environment and it does a good job
of visualizing nagios status data.

I highly recommend it. To make it look really nice, however, you will
need to create your own icon sets, which can take some time. The
included icon sets work, but I found that they didn't meet our needs.

I am currently monitoring a couple of hundred devices and my standard
 map looks terrible.

I have started adding icons to our Nagios status map first by adding
parents and then by adding hostext info. But the icons on the default
(circular markup)status map still overlap and are unreadable. I am
slowly adding user defined coordinates but would like the auto matic
circular markup map to look good also.

Does anyone know of a way to make sure they cant auto overlap themselves?

 Thanks

Hi Trevor,

You have not framed your question very well. Do you mean you do not have a
statusmap.cgi or do you require some tips on setting up a statusmap?
If it is the later, then you need to set parent-host relationships. If its the
former then look on the FAQ as it tells you what you need to install to ensure
that statusmap id built.

Regards

Tom

[Nagios-users] nagios status map

2007-01-17 Thread trevor obba

I installed Nagios 2.5 and I would like to set the 2-D Status
Map or 3-D Status Map.

I am monitoring 200 hosts and 1000 services but when I try
to set the co-ordinate the images overlap each other images.

Has any one successfully set the status map for 200 or more
host? If so can you please send me the co-ordinate for your hosts?

Thanks
