Subject: [Nagios-users] Nagios 2.X Stable - CHMOD problem
Hi Folks
After upgrade from 2.04b to 2,x Stable of Nagios
i have the same problem as usual, after /etc/init.d/nagios stop and
then
/etc/init.d/nagios start i always have to go to the nagios.cmd file
and
chmod it to 777 :)
prw-rw 1 nagios nagiocmd 0 Feb 15 07:00
/usr/local/nagios/var/rw/nagios.cmd
Error: Could not open command file
'/usr/local/nagios/var/rw/nagios.cmd'
for update!

javascript:window.history.go(-2) nagios:~ # ps aux | grep nagios
nagios3207 0.1 1.7 27868 8952 ?Ssl Feb13 4:59
/usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -d /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg
Maybe this is a stupid question but it is irritates me
You shouldn't have to do this if you've followed the documentation on
'how to setup proper permissions'.
