RE: Microsoft Corporate Postmaster Contact?
Ken, This may not be much of a help, but can be a good resource for data when dealing with mail issues regarding MS. https://postmaster.live.com/snds/index.aspx Of course, you need a Valid MSN "passport" for registration. . . . . sigh. . . . Broadvoice Cluefull?
Sorry to send this here, (really, really, sorry), but does anybody know any cluefull techie or CSR types at BroadVoice? I've pretty much tried everything I can to get through to them but after 90 minutes on hold, and after having a working account munged by the CSR to the point where it's no longer working, and being hungup on twice (after 30 minute holds) due to incompetant CSRs, I'm in "homicidal rage" mode about now, and really need to get through to someone who can fix a problem. Thanks in advance. And now back your your regularly scheduled discussion of IP ownerships rights, etc. . . . Jay Stewart Zhonka Broadband P.S. (to all service providing companies): If you're going to have to keep people on hold for 30 minutes or more EACH time they call, please spring a few bucks for some royalty free music or poetry or something (we use Robert Burns read by noted artist John Cairney), but PLEASE, PLEASE don't use an insipid two minute piano loop, ugh. . .
RE: Ryan Air mailops contact please?
I'm wondering what an Irish webhosting firm having trouble with a British cut-rate airlines sending e-mail has to do with "North American Network Operations?" . . . . On the NANOG "is it operational?" sniff test, I'd grade this one a straight "D". Jay Stewart P.S., as for the Post Script, I give it a "B-", because it's truly funny. However, I don't know where you live Suresh, but I'm sure that the pixelated genitalia make this one about as "work safe" as any of the stuff that gets talked about at the "proverbial water cooler", or jokes with endless forwarded attributions e-mailed in droves at any large workplace within two thousand kilometers of around here. . . . -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Suresh Ramasubramanian Sent: Wednesday, August 23, 2006 4:39 AM To: nanog Subject: Ryan Air mailops contact please? RE: Fun new policy at AOL
I think the inherent mantra and wise philosophy that gets tossed out the window by AOL in this policy change is "be strict in what you send, and liberal in what you accept". I'll gladly publish my dialup loozer list in a voluntary RBL so that other sites won't be forced to accept mail from hit and run spammers, but broadband connected users should have the right to run their own SMTP, and I don't trust AOL to be able to determine one from the other. Plus, it would be much better to fix SMTP once and for all than to create an e-mail schema that would allow Ashcroft and his gang of wrinkly re-hashed reaganite hawks any access to data that they could use to further violate individual citizen's privacy. RE: Need hardware help in Seattle/Portland area.
Chuck, I've got a PA-4E, I think works ok. It didn't work for me in my VXR because of the combination of cards therein. I'm in Olympia so you could make a quick stop on your way to/from Portland if you need it. Why does *stuff* always happen on holiday weekends? Long story, not worth telling* but I find myself in need of a LAN port adapter for a Cisco 7200 series router. *Any* twisted pair (10/T or 100/T) card will do: PA-4E, PA-8E, PA-FE-TX, or PA2FE-TX. I need it before Monday, and am willing to drive anywhere within a 250-mile radius of Seattle to get it. I have to be in Portland tomorrow (Saturday) hence the subject line. FW: Netsol fubar.
My few domains that remain registered at Netsol have this same foobar affecting the creation dates. Originally registered in 1995/1996, they now show 2002 as well.
