Hello All,

I am tasked with replacing an old linux router setup with Juniper gear

Does anyone know of any older cheap Juniper gear I might find on Ebay
so that I may build a home lab without going broke?

Thanks!

Have you considered this

Watch this video, now, I know that it is essentially advertisement from
brocade but the guy from ams-ix says something very interesting - For
us it is important to have a board-level relationship with the vendor,
no matter who it is. So in the end this might be a factor in deciding
which equipment to buy - whether your company will be able to have a
higher-level relationship with your vendor so that you can expect
appropriate treatment in case of emergency. With bigger company this
would be harder, though I think the position account manager is
essential this, whereas with smaller companies it is easier to build
such a relationship

largest OSPF core

I'm just curious - what is the largest OSPF core (in terms of number
of routers) out there?

Am I the only one on the list which saw the sentence in Cisco's
Advisory Before sending the the unknown attribute to peers, the IOS XR
corrupted it which clearly states this was a bug?!

Tagged vlan inside isolated pvlan

2010-08-23 Thread lorddoskias

 Hello,

I have a catalyst 6503 with sup32 and was trying to set a tagged vlan
inside a pvlan. Basically I wanna have the behavior of:

switchport mode access
switchport access vlan 101
switchport protected.

So that other machines connected to the 6503 won't be able to
communicate with this port (apart from the uplink) and in the same time
I want to have vlan 101 tagged in the isolated port.
