What goes wrong ? I assume you aren't trying 24bpp at 1024x768 - that would take 2.25 MB viedo ram. -- Dr. Andrew C. [Neomagic] Seeking config for neomagic 2160 1024x768
Hi, I have a gateway solo 2300 with a neomagic NM2160 rev 0 video card with 2MB of ram. I've managed to get it in 800x600 mode but I'm pretty sure it's capable of 1024x768. Has anyone managed to do this? I'm running XF86 4.2 under freebsd 4.6.2. Thanks for any help!! Rich ___ Neomagic mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/neomagic
[Neomagic] problem with xv using extern_disp
Hi. I m using the new driver with xv support on mylaptop (SOny XG18) which has an NM2380 chipset. I have been trying to get xv support to work in MPlayer and couldnt figure out why it wasnt. i get white horizontal lines across the screen but no picture. But when i remove extern_disp from my XF86Config file it works. Has anyone got any clues Thanks Daniel ___ Neomagic mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/neomagic

Hum, maybe this isn't the same issue then, I compile XFree86 this weekend as well. Did you emerge anything other than the standard XFree package? I'll try that again tonight and if that doesn't work, I guess we aren't having the same issue. -Josh On Tuesday 24 September 2002 02:26 pm, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Yes, that worked great for me. Yes, that worked great for me. I am now using Gentoo 1.4 and it appears all of the xv neomagic patches have been merged into portage. I haven't had to eject my PC card yet either ;-). I compiled Gentoo's XFree86 over the weekend, so if you are having lockups where you need to eject you may be running old code. -Andrew

Great, good to know its fixed. I'll try out the CVS and see if that fixes the problem. As a work around, I just found another cardbus ethernet card (A Linksys) that I've been using in the interim. ___ Neomagic mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/neomagic
