Why are you using such an old version?

Did you configure access control in snmpd.conf?

Why snmpd does not response to its requests

2014-04-18 Thread Yasir hussan
Hi,

I am relatively new in snmp development, i am successfully able to compile
and install NET-SNMP version 5.3.1 in my firmware,

i able to receive requests from snmp-client, but i don't know why my server
send back response, here is my log...

NET-SNMP version 5.3.1
Received SNMP packet(s) from UDP: [192.168.1.22]:62479
  GET message
-- SNMPv2-MIB::sysName.0
Received SNMP packet(s) from UDP: [192.168.1.22]:58030
  GETNEXT message
-- SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2
Received SNMP packet(s) from UDP: [192.168.1.22]:58031
  GET message
-- SNMPv2-MIB::sysLocation.0
Received SNMP packet(s) from UDP: [192.168.1.22]:58032
  GET message
-- SNMPv2-MIB::sysServices.0
Received SNMP packet(s) from UDP: [192.168.1.22]:58033
  GET message
-- SNMPv2-MIB::sysContact.0
Received SNMP packet(s) from UDP: [192.168.1.22]:58034
  GET message
-- SNMPv2-MIB::sysObjectID.0
Received SNMP packet(s) from UDP: [192.168.1.22]:58035
  GET message
-- DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance

As you guys can observe its just receiving packets, do not respond it, can
anybody tell where i am wrong?

Any help would be appreciative

Thanks,
