The same code is working fine with:
FC1 64-bit (net-snmp-5.1-2.1)
FC4 32-bit (net-snmp-5.2.1-12)
RH9 32-bit (net-snmp-5.0.6-17)

If upgrading is an option, please retry with 5.2.2 or 5.3.0.1. If you're
stuck with the vendor package, you'll need to report this to them.

Timeout: No Response after output of last OID

2006-02-05 Thread Ajay Hotchandani

Hi,

On FC4 64-bit (net-snmp-5.2.1-12), after output of last OID
of my MIB, I am getting following error:

Timeout: No Response from localhost

In “/var/log/snmpd.log”, I am getting following
error message:

send response: Error building ASN.1
representation (build int size 4: s/b 8)

I am able to walk whole MIB, but after output of last OID, I
get above error.

The same code is working fine with:

FC1 64-bit (net-snmp-5.1-2.1)

FC4 32-bit (net-snmp-5.2.1-12)

RH9 32-bit (net-snmp-5.0.6-17)

My “snmpd.conf” is like following:

syslocation Unknown (edit
/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf)

syscontact  "root@"

rwcommunity  public

Kindly help me regarding this.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Ajay

Re: IPMI / SNMP / MRTG (WAS: RE: ipmi(4) (IPMI MIB?))

2006-02-05 Thread Marco Peereboom
What's wrong with?
# sysctl hw | grep ipmi
hw.sensors.0=ipmi0, Temp, OK, temp, 43.00 degC / 109.40 degF
hw.sensors.1=ipmi0, Planar Temp, OK, temp, 30.00 degC / 86.00 degF
hw.sensors.2=ipmi0, CMOS Battery, OK, volts_dc, 3.12 V
hw.sensors.3=ipmi0, Front Fan, OK, fanrpm, 1258 RPM
hw.sensors.4=ipmi0, Back Fan, OK, fanrpm, 2052 RPM
hw.sensors.5=ipmi0, Intrusion, OK, indicator, Off

How is this any harder to parse?

And it does not take 35 seconds either.

I think I spoke to soon. I tried it on a second machine, then
it started happening again. Must have used (or missing) some
option to snmptable when I tried it on the first machine...

The problem occure on 5.3.0.1!
