Re: Forwarding traps with snmptrapd

2009-12-11 Thread Ian Furst
Hi Dave,

Right, all that seemed pretty straightforward, but I'm looking to specify
trapd to listen on a specific series of (non-standard) ports, which is...
less straightforward. Any ideas?

Best,
Ian

There are currently three types of processing that can be specified:

netforward the trap to another notification receiver.

Just specify the ports on the command line.

Forwarding traps with snmptrapd

2009-12-10 Thread Ian Furst
Hello,

Full disclosure: I'm something of an snmptrapd newb. I'd like to configure
snmptrapd to forward traps incoming from several different ports along to
some monitoring software I have running on a private network. The port
forwarding part's easy, but the snmptrapd configuration has eluded me so
far.

Any help would be great, thanks!

Best,
Ian
