snmp + c api

snmpget + snmpset
Hi.. i am a noob to the snmd server.. i have used the following command snmpget -v1 -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.2.1.4.8.0 to acquire the value of ipInDiscrads.. I also want to set my own value so i try to do this using snmpset .. i think that i have a security problem.. so what should i do next? snmpset -c private localhost .1.3.6.1.2.1.4.8.0 s 0 Plz help me with that __ Discover Yahoo! There is no such variable name in this MIB.
Hi I have downloaded the patch from docum.org (adds a qos mib) I have completely followed the directions and everything seems to be compiled succesfully The problem after running the server is that the command returns me [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/src/net-snmp-5.1.3.1/mibs$ snmpget -v1 -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.4.1.18756.1.1.30 Error in packet Reason: (noSuchName) There is no such variable name in this MIB. Failed object: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.18756.1.1.30 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/src/net-snmp-5.1.3.1/mibs$ snmpget -v1 -m +LINUX-KERNEL-QOS -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.4.1.18756.1.1.30 Error in packet Reason: (noSuchName) There is no such variable name in this MIB. Failed object: LINUX-KERNEL-QOS::qosHtbPrio That thers is not such variable in the mib... I am wondering what should i do for making the server start tracking information about the qos mib...
