Thanks for detailing..

Re: possible fix for issue 1359 (self-profiling)

2018-10-21 Thread Sven Reimers
Hi all,

I had a deeper look ant it seems that at least 2 further issues need fixing:

http://mail.openjdk.java.net/pipermail/serviceability-dev/2018-October/025636.html
http://mail.openjdk.java.net/pipermail/serviceability-dev/2018-October/025639.html

Waiting for answers, but with the proposed changes applied to 12-ea+16 self
profiling finally worked again.

Hope fixing and back porting is not taking too long. Keep your fingers
crossed.

Re: Netbeans 9 profiler

2018-07-14 Thread Sven Reimers
Hi all..

I was part of the NetCat Profiler tribe and I remember having some problems
in the early phase but nothing later on...

I am using OS X... so maybe something
specific with Windows?

What version of Windows are you using...

@NetCat anyone able to reproduce?

I still have to check the crashdump...

But probably some feedback grom the JBS may be helpful

I'm not sure it's the same thing; Alan's report does include that
reflection warning, but there's also a 'hard' crash in the JVM itself
 where it gets a EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION.

[profiler] Issue in startup log

2018-03-14 Thread Sven Reimers
HI all,

trying to run NetBeans on 10 (using Jan's latest nbjavac and Java10) I saw
this

WARNING [org.netbeans.modules.profiler.NetBeansProfiler]: Failed to
initialize the Profiler engine: Problem with a required JFluid installation
directory or file
/Users/sven/tools/apache-netbeans-daily/netbeans/profiler/lib/deployed/UNSUPPORTED_JDK/mac

in the console log...

Any ideas?

Sven

Re: [profiler] Re: Test Spec Review Starting Today!

2018-03-08 Thread Sven Reimers
Sorry for being late to the game, I think we had the same problem during
last NetCat and the necessity to update the spec got lost...

Will send out another e-mail for organizing the profiler tribe..
