The issue is that the hotlist window is an entirely separate entity to the window which spawned it - NetSurf has no way of knowing which window you want to open it in. In the AmigaOS4 version I've added drag'n'drop for bookmarks into windows to get around this. I also have a Hotlist menu which is necessarily attached to a window, so bookmarks opened from there open in the current window. You might want to file a feature request for one or both of these features to be added to the GTK interface. Chris

I wonder why this conversation is now carrying on here, on the NetSurf Users list. B.

That's interesting! It's not the first time it's happened but I don't at all recall hitting return in either case and hadn't noticed either later. And, Pluto didn't protest either. However, be assured that JPG is now in Pluto dictionary as you suggest. Thank you. > Mangled URLs are not uncommon. Going back to the Original posting often > sorts it. Noted.

I even dropped the two lines into Piperdream (in cells A1 and A2) and asked if they matched, which it said they did. I later found I had asked it to compare C1 and C2. I even did a hex dump of the strings in case there was some hidden difference, while I was checking this my friend looking over my shoulder spotted it almost at once (she started from the RH end). -- Erving

Perhaps next time he needs to add JPG to his dictionary instead of just hitting return and taking whatever alteration the program suggests! Mangled URLs are not uncommon.
