in order to move some bits around more easily, i decided to
copy what i'd written and paste it into a text editor.
luckily i did the paste first, for as soon as i deleted the
original, Netsurf crashed.
whereupon i recalled that this had happened to me in the
past [on various sites, not just Riscository], but don't
think i reported it at the time.
i sent a bug report and logfile on Feb 1. NS r9799 on OS 4.39.
