Re: nm-applet doesn't update access_point list
I've tried to initialize a new nm_client object, which didn't help either. Could this be a dbus issue? The accesss point list is only correct when i restart nm-applet. pcl = nm_client_new(NULL, NULL); devices = nm_client_get_devices (pcl); for (i = 0; devices && (i < devices->len); i++) { pdev = NM_DEVICE (g_ptr_array_index (devices, i)); if(NM_IS_DEVICE_WIFI (pdev)) { pwdev = NM_DEVICE_WIFI (pdev); aps = nm_device_wifi_get_access_points (pwdev); g_print ("get aps len=%d\n", aps->len); } } On 09.06.2017 17:20, Harald Jung wrote: Hi, when an new access point is added it doesn't show up in nm-applet. Not only does it barf on these interface numbers, but more importantly: It hides all inactive alternate interface settings and configurations. In this case I know that there are NCM alternate settings here, but that kind of information is usually crucial. The script is so incomplete that it is close to useless IMHO. It's much better to mount debugfs on /sys/kernel/debug and use /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices. If you cannot do that, then use "lsusb -vd". Once you have access to the notebook again, can you stop MM the normal way: mv /usr/sbin/modem-manager / killall -TERM modem-manager and then run MM like this? MM_SIERRA_APP1_PPP_OK=1 /modem-manager --debug and attempt a connection? Older Sierra devices allow PPP on the APP1 port (ttyUSB4 on your device) but unfortunately we have to whitelist that. It's actually impossible to test which tty accepts PPP on most Sierra devices, so we really have no idea. For examply, my C885 and USB306 allow it, but none of my (four) 8775s or my 8781 allows it. I've cleaned up to log, because i have no access to the notebook at the moment. ipv6 should be deactived and is not activated in the config. There is a lot of noise in the log. Could you please disable wifi and wired connections and then attached a compressed version of it? Also, are you trying to use ipv6?: /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/ttyUSB3/accept_ra: (4) Datei »/proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/ttyUSB3/accept_ra« konnte nicht geöffnet werden: No such file or directory sierra_clean.log.gz Description: GNU Zip compressed data ___ networkmanager-list mailing list networkmanager-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/networkmanager-list

Hi, on systems with ro filesystems i create symlinks to a writeable (ramdisk) /var/ or /tmp partition. I know this problem for more config files inside /etc/ than the resolv.conf. Re: UMTS Device - T Mobile Web And Walk
Hi, i think i was wrong with that speculation, the problem is not in the modem- manager AT command stuff. But in the way network-manager gets its ip configuration. Networkmanager isn't able to query the ip-settigs from the hso network interface. best regards Harald Am Dienstag, 24.
