Could you give URL where WiMax SDK that is required can be downloaded?

Yes, import will be done, it just didn't make the cut yet. That's going
to be done this week before the next snapshot.

The master is a bit restructured, so the stuff needed a little adjustment.
Nonetheless, a patch for master branch is already in
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=637825#c7 waiting for a review. And
it will be commited shortly.

Looks like all user defined connections have been "forgotten", they are neither
shown anymore by nm-connection-editor nor nm-applet.

It would be cool, if nm-applet would automatically convert/import old user
settings into new system connections.

Looks like 0.8.995 does not contain the changes of 0.8.4, which moved the
timestamps to /var/lib/NetworkManager.

I've been compiling on Debian unstable (using gtk2) and it runs fine so far.

I already sent you two build related fixes. Will report back when I encounter
any other issues.

Cheers,
Michael

Ideally Ubuntu would have a PPA for the latest git master, which they
have had at some point, but that might be tracking the 0.8.x (stable)
branch now and not the 0.9 code. HOwever, there is:

http://projects.gnome.org/NetworkManager/developers/

which has a quick guide to grabbing the sources. You may encounter
configure errors, but those are usually missing -dev packages.

That's great, we need more testing of NM with IPv6. The more the
better. Dont' hesitate to ask if you have any problems or questions!

Not yet, but the API bits are there so that it should be smooth sailing

I'm a Ubuntu desktop user with a PPPoE DSL connection and wifi on my
desktop. I'm interested in testing as a user, is there a wiki or similar
guide on how to do this ? It looks like I have to compile or something
which I'm willing to have a go at but in the past I haven't been that
successful.

I do quite a lot of networking and am testing IPv6, hence the interest.
