I wasn't referring to using the old linksys hardware. I don't have a
lot of expectations, there.

I was referring to the fact she burned the meatloaf.

(Just kidding Neal, I am sure she is a doll)

O, that's harsh, Robert!

How about a little Valentine's present?

"Here honey, a brand new Linksys WRT54GS v3.0 with OpenWRT already
loaded, just for you!"

Hey, I'd be sleeping on the sofa, but it might work for someone...

40/64-bit passphrases are extremely dicey because there is no standard
hash from passphrase to WEP key. Most manufacturers do it differently.
104/128-bit ones do have a (fairly) standard way.

Neal: what hardware do you have for the access point?

64-bit passphrases? No, not yet. We would happily take patches,
though. ;-)

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to generate a warning, because there
is no way to detect what WEP flavor is in effect. The WEP spec is
pretty braindead.

I tried last evening, seems 64-bit WEP doesn't work? Not even a warning
message either!
